About Me

Kia ora, and welcome. I’m Simon Kurth, the creative behind Tāwhaowhao Media, offering videography and photography services that capture real moments with clarity and purpose.

Originally from Aotearoa, New Zealand, I now call California home. My work is shaped by a deep appreciation for storytelling, movement, and connection, whether through a lens on the field, at a wedding, or in everyday life. I’m happily married to my wife, Krissy, and together we’re raising two busy, active boys, Tane and Flynn. I have a passion for surfing and the ocean in general. If I'm not at the field shooting you might find me at the beach.

I bring my many years of teaching to the table to help connect and relate with my clients. I’m so excited to follow my other passion and help you tell your story, authentically, powerfully, and with heart.

I’m in the early stages of growing Tāwhaowhao Media, and I’m currently offering reasonable pricing as I build my portfolio. It’s a great opportunity to get high-quality, personalized work while supporting a small creative business on the rise.

Based on the Central Coast, I’m available locally and open to travel.
